WELCOME!

The Springfield Pickleball Club provides members the opportunity to play pickleball with one another, and promotes the sport within our community. We welcome you to join us during one of the weekly open play events to meet and play with other pickleball enthusiasts!

New to pickleball? SPC hosts "beginner play" every Wednesday from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. from May through August at Iles Park. No equipment or knowledge of pickleball is needed... just come ready to have fun! SPC members are on hand to provide instruction, and pair you with an experienced player to help you learn the basics.

***Due to unforeseen circumstances, the youth camps scheduled for June have been cancelled. Efforts to reschedule are underway and we hope to have additional information soon. Thank you!

Great News!!! Centennial Pickleball courts are moving forward!

Today we received word that Springfield Park District has been notified that the money allocated to build new courts has been released. This will be a long and tedious process but one that will produce pickleball courts we will enjoy for years to come.

Springfield Park District is currently in the process of starting the paperwork.

Once that process is approved then drawings and bid package will be put together.

After the bids come in the Springfield Pickleball Club along with the Springfield Park District. will determine how to proceed. It will be at this point that I will give an update to the SPC. Yes, it will be a lengthy process, but in the end, we will have great courts.

Thanks to the efforts of SPC and Senators Doris Turner and Steve McClure, the Illinois General Assembly is providing funding to build pickleball courts at Centennial Park on Springfield's west side, and for improvements to the Iles Park courts. The tentative plans for Centennial Park are shown here and include 16 courts and a pavilion.

Once the funds are released to the Springfield Park District, plans will commence for construction.
